Cornerways is a Grade II listed town house known to have been built over 175 years ago and is tastefully decorated throughout with a high standard of cleanliness. Situated about four minutes from the Rail and Bus Stations, our location has proved to be popular with guests as it not too far to carry luggage.
All bedrooms are located on the first floor of the house and are all en-suite. Tea/coffee facilities, colour television, alarm clocks and hair dryers are all supplied and, in winter, the house is centrally heated for your comfort. Your resident host is Matt Martens and he hopes to provide you with as much assistance and information as you may require to ensure you enjoy your stay in Penzance .
As our location suggests, we are ideally situated for visiting the beautiful places in West Cornwall and, as the rail/bus stations and coastal paths are so close by, as well as exploring the area on foot it is so easy to visit some of the other beautiful places in West Cornwall. The Lizard Peninsula and the Eden Project, with its beautiful gardens, can all be accessed either by bus or train.
From Cornerways, you can take a leisurely walk along the beach to Marazion for St. Michael’s Mount for some breathtaking views across Mounts Bay. A bus will take you to Mousehole, Lamorna Cove, Sennen Cove and Lands End, St. Ives, Falmouth and Truro. Trains also go to St. Ives, Truro and Falmouth .
The terminals for the Isles of Scilly are within a ten minute walk and day trips can be arranged either by helicopter, boat or SkyBus. We accept one night bookings for those guests journeying to the islands (subject, of course, to availability) and can make arrangements for transportation to and from the terminals if required.
Breakfast is served between 8am and 8.45am. A full menu is available with a vegetarian option. A three course evening meal is offered and packed lunches can be provided if required.
