Cornerways is a listed town house
known to have been built over 175 years ago and is tastefully decorated
throughout with a high standard of cleanliness. Situated about 4
minutes from the Rail and Bus Stations, its location has proved
to be popular with guests as it is not far to carry luggage.
All rooms are en suite with tea/coffee facilities, colour television
and, in winter, centrally heated for your comfort. Hair dryers are
also available. Your resident hosts are John and Andrea Leggatt
who hope to provide you with friendly service and as much or as
little advice on what to do whilst staying in Penzance.
As our location suggests, we are ideally situated for visiting
all the beautiful places in West Cornwall and, as the stations are
so close, as well as exploring the area on your own, day tours are
on offer during the summer months to places like Newquay, Tintagel,
Padstow, The Lizard and the Eden Project. Car and bike hire can also
be arranged.
From Cornerways, you take a leisurely walk along the beach to Marazion
for St Michael's Mount for its breathtaking views across Mounts
Bay. A bus will take you to Mousehole and Lamorna Cove to see unrivalled
beauty of landscape and Lands End and Sennen Cove with white sands
and spectacular cliff view, not forgetting St Ives with its Tate
Gallery, various artists studios and craft shops. From Penzance
Rail Station, you can visit Falmouth, Truro and St Ives.
The terminals for the Isles of Scilly are within a ten minute walk
and day trips can be arranged either by helicopter, boat or SkyBus.
We accept one-night bookings for those guests journeying to the
Islands (subject of course to availability) and make arrangements
for transportation to and from the Terminals if required.
