Penzance is located in the far West of Cornwall, served by good road and rail services connecting with the rest of the country. By road, the A30 is mostly dual-carriageway from its link with the Motorway network at Exeter, while A38 from Exeter, through Plymouth and across the Tamar Bridge provides an alternative route. By rail, the main-line route via Plymouth and Exeter is served by long distance services from London, the Midlands, the North of England and Scotland.
