We visited and stayed in Penzance for 1 week last year. We had a great holiday and regularly enjoyed the food in the Turks Head Inn. Will come back in the future

Lovely site. I am doing research for the Pioneer Society in Victoria. I am looking for information on William Richardson born 1848 in Penzance. William Richardson is an early pioneer here in Victoria, he is my husband's grandfather. We have no information on him, all we know is that he came here to Victoria as a 12 year old. Do you have any idea how we could find out more information on the Richardson family, parish records etc.
Sincerely,
Nancy P. Richardson

I am looking for any of the Richards Family in Penzance, My great Grandfather( John"Jack"Richards was born and raised there until he moved to Grass Valley, California USA back in the very late 1800's. My Grandmother was Ruth Electra Richards Rossen and as I remember it she visited there so I do know that there is family still there.

Some time ago a friend from Penzance came over and left a tape of Jethro the comedian. This is a copy of a copy of a copy ...... and I would like to find an original tape or CD of this live performance. It includes such items as Severn Bridge, sharing a bed with his father, Denzil and a rock down his trunks, St. Just bus, wasp in the pet shop window, young police officer pulling him up on a drink-drive charge, etc.
Can someone point me in the right direction.
All the best

Just to add to Mike Summerlee's comments about lost loves and school friends. When I was down in Christchurch recently and met Mike again after nearly 30 years we threw loads of names around. I've got a few more to add
Gina Lambourne
Rachel Harvey
Margaret Searle
Sharon Rosewall
John Nicholls
Mrs Chapman
Kenny Bowler
Linda Trevaskis
Liz Cotton
And I am sure many more lurk in the deep recesses but I would need one of those panoramic school photo jobs to jog the grey matter.
So where are they all?
Anyone out there want to make a few additions.
All the best

I lost touch when this coputer crashed!!!!!!!! It's taken a while to get it fixed. Before the crash, this site allowed me to catch up on a number of friends I hadn't seen since the late 60's and early 70's, when I was at Heamoor and then Humphrey Davy. Billy Mitchell and Martin Blowers are alive and well in NZ, and it was great to see them again. However lots of other names came up in conversation from those great days, so if you are out there, get in touch please. A lot of girls names came up but we've not heard from you

Hi, I fell in love with West Cornwall while reading Rosamunde Pilcher's books. I am going to visit the Penvance area in June 2001. One of the town's mentioned in her books is Porthkerris. Is there such a place? Any ideas of where I (and my 15 yr old son) should visit? Know any other authors who write about Cornwall? Cheers.

Desperately Seeking Sharon

Does anyone know where Sharon Wood is? She lived in Camborne until she moved to Hampshire round about 1986. We were great friends and lost touch in 1988 when she either moved back to Camborne OR she may have moved to Chester. She has three children (at least she did by 1987), Leanne, Jason and Martyn. We were close friends and I was very disappointed not to have found her when I went back to Hampshire to visit her. Any info you have would be much appreciated. Thank you.

SEARCHING FOR AN OLD FRIEND.
Does anyone know the whereabouts of Gerald Pender
who is a painter/decorator in the Penzance region? He did me a huge
favour and I need to tell him some good news and to
thank him.
All I know is that he has a friend - the name of Nicholls, who used to
be with the fire service at the Heliport.
If you cant help, but fancy a penpal anyway, please write back.
Many thanks,
