A very nice site, one of my favourites. I'm researching my PEARCE family who all came from the town. My grandfather was William Leonard Pearce dob 1885. I saw his name on the War memorial when I made my first visit this year. Any info. gratefully received. Will definitely be back for another visit next year.

Hi! Just browsing the site of my old home town again and putting out the word that I am looking for a school badge of the (old) HEAMOOR county Secondary School. If anyone can help please let me know.
Any old school friends are welcome to contact (as have Billy Mitchell, Mike Summerlee and Martin Blowers - all in New Zealand).
I am willing Penzance/Newlyn RFC (the Pirates) to be promoted this season so that they will be playing up here next year!

Best wishes to all in my HOME town!

I am a regular visitor to the web site, only an annual one to the Town, I am afraid to say. One criticism, which just gets on my nerves everytime I see it.....The flags on the home page, PLEASE get them blowing the same way. The wind cannot come from two directions at once, even in Penzance, no matter how "magical" is the Land's End peninsula!

Hi! i am so happy to sign your guestbook. Although I live in hong kong now, but i have lived in Durham, UK for 6 years! Last year, i have come back to UK and have a look, it's my first time going to Penzance, I think the view and the food is great. But there is really cold. When I arrived, I settle down in one B&B hotel called The Lodge! The people there is very very friendly to me! Can we keep contact ?? I hope you can often send e-mail to me!!!

Being a member of the Cornish Family History Society and researching the Penzance area people who left to come to Akron, Ohio I now have over 400 names in Naturalization, Birth, Death papers and have been sending them to the CFHS for others to reseach their lost ancestors. For a list of these names go to:http://freepages.cultures.rootsweb.com/~kernow/lm1.htm or email me at; lindamannis@netzero.net

Well I must say, I am very impressed with your site. what more could anyone ask for, I was particularly impressed with the listings of Pubs and eateries, am will definately be visiting some this weekend. However I was slighly upset to read that there is no means of transport to The Scilly Isles on Sundays - that had been the plan. Nevermind if the weather is as good as it's meant to be, I think I will be happy bathing in Penzance. A wicked site, Congratulations!!!!!

Very nice website. A friend and I will be embarking on the End to End cycle trip starting September 8th. Our transportation plans to St. Just youth hostel has unexpectantly fallen through leaving us scrambling for alternative arrangement.
Question: Is there a taxi service available to take a single person the six miles to St. Just. Greatly appreciate any assistance. Looking forward to see the town again, was their 12 years ago while on my honeymoon.

Hi, I'm trying to find where I can purchase a Cornish Brass Piskie for a key ring. My Mother had one for years which my Father brought when they first met, she lost it a few years ago and as she turns 80 this year we are trying to get hold of one for her.
Any information would be appreciated

Hi I am a sociologist studying generations, and generational change. I want to come to Penzance and talk to networks and groups of people in their thirties: what happened to you? Did you leave and return? What happened to your school friends? Do you work? What in, is it hard, is it good? How do you see the older and younger generations in Cornwall? Are you going to grow old there? I am wanting to come and meet people in the south west. In the first instance, email me if you are interested in contributing to social research - cheers!

I would appreciate it if someone could pass this e-mail on to the PENLEE HOUSE GALLERY and THE NEWLYN ART GALLERY. Friends bought a poster of a young women in a dark blouse and blue skirt, with a hand on one hip and a tray on the other. I would like to know the artist's name and the name of the painting. Thank you
