I saw in the Mousehole page a comment about
the Cornish language dying out 200 years ago. My grandmother was
from near Mousehole and could read and write Cornish. I can remember
in the 1960's she would get small newspapers printed in cornish
sent from relatives in Cornwall.

Well done! Your website was very informative.
I visited your area back in the late 50's & early 60's when I was
a child. I still have vacation movies of our visit. Lovely memories!
I have since moved from England some 30 years ago. My cousin is
moving to Penzance to open up a Fish & Chip shop. She emailed me
the link to this site & I'm so pleased she did. Your town has kept
the quaintness & small town atmosphere we all envy, who live in
big Cities. Say hi to my cousin Janice & Andy & wish them good luck
in their new adventure!

greetings; my interest in penzance is in trying
to ppinpoint the location of Land's End Lighthouse. I have a lenox
replica of the lighthouse but i cannot find a clear location and
picture to check against. It seems too beautiful to be an actual
replica. i would welcome some information. e-mail address is crossstitch00@yahoo.com

The first time I was in Penzance was in 1989.
I was there with a group of students from Sweden. I totally fell
in love with the town and the people who live there, they are very
warm and friendly. Since 1989 I have stayed in Penzance a couple
of months every summer until I had my first child, 7 years ago.
My dream has always been to move to Cornwall but to move from Sweden
with two small children is not a very easy thing to do! But I hope
to spend a summer in Penzance again soon, itīs my favourite place
in the world! JO from sweden.
