Hi,we were in PZ and Mousehole for a week in May. It was simply amazing to be right where all the things my grandparents talked about really happened. Have been many places, but this is the first time that EVERYTHING was so much better than hoped for. We would love any info on the Downing and Blewett families from PZ and Mousehole.

Cornwall, mainly Sennen and Penzance has been the location of my summer holidays since i was about 10 years old, i love surfing and anything adventurous outdoors. The people in Cornwall are much more friendlier than where i live also, they make an effort to talk to you. I am now 24 and Police Constable and i am seriously considering transfering to Cornwall Constabulary, the only thing i am in doubt about is what is the place like when the tourist have gone home and the summer is over? people have said the weather is bleak and the place is dead, is this true? Any advice and info would be much appreciated? Thank you.

Hallo everyone. This is New Zealand calling. I wonder if anyone knows of the BEARD family or their descendents, who in about 1901 lived in St Levant? My great Uncle, William Philip Beard married Anne Elizabeth Pascoe in the St Levan Parish Church in 1898 and had at least one daughter called Louie, but there may have been other children. That's all I know so please rack your Beard brains and see if you can remember your connections to this family. My paternal grandmother was Hannah Beard and originated in Gillingham Kent. Kind regards from your kiwi cousin David Graham.

Hi to everybody in Penzance, specially to to the owner of the "One and All" near the station, where I spent a lot of wonderful time in the eevenings. A lot of years ago I visited my twin-city (I am from Cuxhaven) and I found myself very well in Your town. Now I am lost the contact to a girl (woman now) from Henleaze Gardens. Sally Andrews. She went to Bristol, I met her there, but we lost the contact. If somebody knows where she is now, please call by the email-adress. Thanks for the hospitality You gave me years ago.

I am researching into the 'Ley' family. I believe there are two brothers - one in the garage business and one who was in medicine. They would be related to Marjie Ley (now Nickalls). If anyone has information It would be very gratefully received. Many thanks.

Hi. I used to live in Penzance many years ago, when I was about fourteen years old. I used to go to Mount's Bay School.I am looking for an old friend called Sean Cape, he's from Mouse Hole. If anyone knows him, please give him my e-mail address. I would also like other old class mates to write, if they want to. I really miss Cornwall... it's such a beautiful place. Thank u.

Having just spent a month 'living' in Penzance, with glorious weather too, we had the time of our lives. We visited many different places and villages, but can report that the only place where we enjoyed a proper traditional cream tea was at the car park at Marazion beach!! Having spent time at the castle we decided to enjoy a traditional tea at the Sail Loft Restaurant, and it was nothing but a huge disappointment. The scone was so hard that it 'splintered', the cream was still in its plastic container and the jam in its own plastic tub too. It was also one of the most expensive teas too!! What a pity, because St Michaels Mount is magnificent, and doesn't deserve this shoddy presentation. For the record, the next best tea was at Polperro, but that's another story.... Having family living there, it is beginning to be like home, and we just LOVE staying in Penzance.
