Objective One roadshow date for businesses |
||
|
The local business community is being invited to find out how it can get involved in the Objective One programme at a roadshow being hosted by the Penzance Chamber of Commerce. The event - at the Queen's Hotel, Penzance on July 24th 2002 from 7.00 pm - has been organised as part of a series of seminars being set up for the local private sector by Cornwall Business Partnership (CBP) - the lead organisation supporting the programme's Business Task Force. The roadshow will explain how the needs of business have been recognised in Objective One and how individual firms can engage and join in achieving the Business Task Force's aim of making Cornwall the place to do business in the 21st century. The event will include an opportunity for the audience to ask questions of a panel of experts and discuss their issues, as well as for follow-ups on an individual basis. Also at the event will be representatives of Penwith Council's economic and tourism department who will be able to explain their role. In addition, those attending will have the opportunity to view the first phase proposals for the regeneration of Penzance and its harbour - for which Objective One funding will be sought. Said a spokesman for the Chamber: "All in all, this is the one business event of the year that the local business community must not, indeed cannot, afford to miss!" The event is open to all businesses in Penwith, not just Chamber members. To attend contact the secretary on 01736-719222 or by Email yvonne@pzchamber.free-online.co.uk. |
