This site has been developed for, and sponsored by, Penzance Chamber of Commerce to
encourage a greater awareness of the range of facilities and services that exist in,
and around, the historic town of Penzance. While there is a comprehensive selection of
retail and commercial services available, the town is also an attractive place in which
to live and a rewarding place to visit. Details are included on local support services
for both the community and its visitors.
In addition to sponsorship by Penzance Chamber of Commerce, the site is financially
supported by PESCA, the Government Regional Office for the South-West, Penwith District
Council, Penzance Town Council and Lloyds Bank in Penzance. Thanks are expressed to all
these bodies for their support without which this site would never have been born!
Initial ideas for the site were formulated during 1998, detail design commenced early
in 1999 and the site was launched in May 1999.
While there is considerable 'editorial' and 'informative' content in the site, there
are/will be numerous pages and sub-sites accessible from within the site where individual
commercial and public providers of goods and services are/will be displaying their
'wares'.
And the technical bit ...
The site is designed and managed by Bocaina Business Services in Penzance. It is
a 'framed' site, although there are some limited facilities for 'non-framed' browsers.
The site is best viewed using at least an 800x600 pixel display using a Netscape or
Microsoft Internet Explorer browser (Version 3 or higher) with Javascript enabled.
